Theresa did a wonderful job designing new templates for our monthly and subject-based emails! She incorporated smart elements we hadn’t even considered asking for and clarified our calls to action. RCA couldn’t have asked for a more capable professional to handle this project!

In late 2024, philanthropist John McCutcheon announced a $20 million bequest to seven Canadian organizations in order to mobilize public will, restore vital ecosystems, and spearhead a new era of freshwater stewardship in Canada. It remains the largest individual donation to freshwater conservation in Canadian history.
To spread awareness about Canada’s Freshwater Initiative, as the partnership became known, McCutcheon approached Lightbulb Narrative to create a call-to-action, asking governments, businesses, and everyday Canadians to get involved in the fight to protect Canada’s freshwater resources.
Theresa worked with McCutcheon and the leadership of each of the seven organizations receiving the bequest to understand the depth of the challenge, generate ideas for addressing it, and create a rallying document to help bring on more supporters to the cause. That document became “Canada’s Freshwater Challenge” and continues to be used by the Initiative to engage stakeholders and drive change.
Even with my own background in communications and marketing, I was thrilled with the calibre of products that Theresa was able to create. She understands our brand vision, and her writing tells the stories our customers connect with, most deeply.

Ahead of the 2025 federal election, a group of nature advocates led by Nature Canada were looking to put the climate, environmental, and biodiversity crises on the political agenda by calling on all parties to address these issues in their campaign platforms.
Theresa worked with the group to draft a platform containing key messages and specific calls-to-action relevant to the group’s varied audiences across Canada’s environmental sector. Theresa reviewed the draft content the group had produced to that point and strategically re-worked the content to better attract the attention of political decision-makers.
The release of The Nature Platform during the election campaign drew the attention of the national parties. Specifically, the call-to-action to create 25 new national parks, became the headline of Prime Minister Mark Carney’s campaign event launching the party’s environmental platform.
Many of the call-to-actions action laid out in The Nature Platform – such as protecting 30% of Canada’s lands and waters as well as new funding for Indigenous Guardians programs – were adopted by the governing Liberal Party of Canada.

Theresa is a cornerstone to our organization, delivering exceptional communications products and strategic advice that is invaluable to our ongoing success.

In summer 2020, Toronto-area businesses needed advice and tools to help navigate the reopening process as workers returned to physical workspaces after pandemic lockdowns but before the availability of vaccines. Theresa joined colleagues at Curious Public to create small-business support materials on behalf of the Toronto Board of Trade (TRBOT).
As part of the project, Theresa provided the organizational framework for TRBOT’s small business digital toolkit microsite and crafted extensive website copy that provided advice and ideas to help small businesses create a safe return to physical workspaces. She also wrote advertorial copy to help highlight the new microsite in national newspapers to bring awareness to this support for small businesses.
The microsite and the rest of the ‘Reimagining Recovery Project’ went on to win a prestigious 2020 Platinum Marcom Award for Content Creation.
