Theresa is one of the most gifted communicators I have ever seen. She has an extraordinary ability to peel away the spin, get to the essence of an issue, and then communicate it in a down-to-earth, no BS way.
Deb Matthews, Former Deputy Premier of Ontario

Our Advocacy Work
Ahead of the 2025 federal election, a group of nature advocates led by Nature Canada was looking to put the climate, environmental, and biodiversity crises on the political agenda by calling on all parties to address these issues in their campaign platforms.
Theresa worked with the group to draft a platform containing key messages and specific calls-to-action relevant to the group’s varied audiences across Canada’s environmental sector. Theresa reviewed the draft content the group had produced to that point and strategically re-worked the content to better attract the attention of political decision-makers.
The release of The Nature Platform during the election campaign drew the attention of the national parties. Specifically, the call-to-action to create 25 new national parks became the headline of Prime Minister Mark Carney’s campaign event launching the party’s environmental platform.
Many of the calls-to-action laid out in The Nature Platform – such as protecting 30% of Canada’s lands and waters as well as new funding for Indigenous Guardians programs – were adopted by the governing Liberal Party of Canada.

Theresa is a diligent, eloquent, experienced and smart public policy expert and a compelling communicator and campaigner. She’s a pleasure to work with.

Our Advocacy Work
Ahead of the 2019 federal election, a group of climate advocates were looking to put the climate emergency on the political agenda by calling on all parties to address it in their campaign platforms and rhetoric.
Theresa worked with the group to draft key messages relevant to their varied audiences in the environmental sector, millennial cohort, and faith communities across Canada. Building on those key messages, Theresa crafted five articles over the course of the election period highlighting different aspects of the climate crisis.
These articles were posted to the websites of the group to help spread their message during the election. One of these pieces was submitted as an op-ed article and published by the Toronto Star.

Theresa brings a robust, analytic lens to her communications work, rooted in her keen understanding of the ever-changing social-political landscape. But maybe even more importantly in today’s world, Theresa is guided by clear and unwavering values. This principled approach sets Theresa apart.
